Over the past year and a half, environmental and energy law have undergone rapid and significant change. From the emergence of energy-intensive data centers to sweeping regulatory rollbacks from the EPA, practitioners have faced an evolving and complex legal landscape.

In this session, presenters Blake Adams and Byron Gary will provide an overview of key developments in environmental and energy law and their implications for the Commonwealth. Topics will include the growing presence of data centers and their impact on energy demand, pricing, and land use; recent EPA regulatory changes and their potential effects on businesses, environmental protection, and the Energy and Environment Cabinet; and other notable environmental law developments.
