eFiling Rollout Adjusted

File & Serve

The next generation eCourts project, which will replace Kentucky's current eFiling and KyCourts case management systems, is progressing steadily. This initiative will modernize case management, creating sustainability and laying the foundation for a fully electronic court record. As with any large-scale technology upgrade, the project has faced challenges and unexpected complexities, which have also brought valuable opportunities for learning and alignment.

In partnership with Tyler Technologies, the project schedule is being adjusted to ensure alignment with expectations and deliver the strongest possible implementation experience. The original target for launching File & Serve, Tyler's eFiling application, was this fall. After assessing unplanned work and delayed deliveries, adding time to the schedule will lead to a smoother, more methodical rollout and better coordination with judicial partners. The effect of the File & Serve revised schedule on the subsequent implementation of Tyler's Enterprise Justice case management system is being evaluated as well.

Your support is appreciated as the transition to a modern, effective court system in the commonwealth continues apace.
