The Kentucky Bar Association Young Lawyers Division (YLD) supports the development of emerging leaders within the legal profession and across the Commonwealth. To encourage attorney participation in Kentucky's premier leadership programs -- Elevate Kentucky, Bright Kentucky, and Leadership Kentucky -- the YLD offers a $1,000 scholarship to help offset program costs.

ELEVATE Kentucky provides young professionals with in-depth professional development while building a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the Commonweatlh. The program prepares participants to become catalysts for postiive change within their workplaces and communities.

BRIGHT Kentucky focuses on next-generation leaders in the Appalachian region (typically ages 21-40), equipping them to collaborate, innovate, and advance community and economic development throughout Eastern Kentucky.

Leadership Kentucky, now in its fourth decade, is one of the nation's leading leadership programs. It offers a thought-provoking experience centered on leadership, statewide issues, and what it means to lead effectively in Kentucky.

The YLD recognizes the value these programs bring to the growth of future Bar leaders and is committed to supporting young lawyers who wish to participate. Link to program guidelines and the scholarship application are provided below.
